Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon chile garlic sauce, such as Sriracha®
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper , or more to taste
- 2 cups whole cashews
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt , or to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and set aside.
- Melt butter and oil in a medium-size saucepan over low heat. Stir in Worcestershire, Sriracha, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne, and simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add cashews and toss until well coated with seasonings.
- Pour nuts onto the prepared baking sheet, and spread out into a single layer. Set the saucepan aside.
- Bake in the preheated oven, shaking pan occasionally, until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes. Keep an eye on them when baking to make sure they don’t burn.
- Pour hot cashews back into the saucepan, sprinkle with coarse salt, and toss until well coated. Transfer the nuts back to the baking sheet to cool. Store in an air-tight container.
